How Invisalign Treatment Works

Our dentists upload the information they gather to Invisalign software to plan your treatment digitally. This gives our dentists a virtual 3-D image of your teeth and lets them map out how they will move throughout your treatment.

Based on your treatment plan, you will receive several sets of clear aligners customized to straighten your teeth one step at a time. You should wear each set of aligners for 22 hours a day and remove them only for meals and to brush and floss. After 2–3 weeks, you’ll switch to the next set of aligners and repeat the process.

The number of sets you receive is based on the treatment plan developed by your Invisalign dentist, and when you finish wearing the last set, the alignment phase of your treatment is finished.

As part of your ongoing Invisalign treatment, you will wear a customized retainer to prevent your teeth from relapsing into the original crooked position. It is critical to wear your retainer as instructed, or you risk undoing all the effort you just put into getting your perfect, straight smile.

Dr. Robert Noh attended the University of British Columbia and graduated in 2016. He practiced in Southern Alberta until 2021 when he started Meadow Ridge Dental Centre.
